Homecoming Scotland 2009
The most celebrated event this year is the 250th year of the anniversary of the birth of Scotland’s national poet and icon, Robert Burns. Celebrations will be held throughout the year and a programme of over 300 events across Scotland linking to the themes of golf, whisky, great Scottish minds and innovation, and Burns himself, as well as celebrations of Scottish heritage and culture, looking forward to a fantastic year for visiting Scotland or for those returning to explore their Scottish heritage.
